WhatsApp has recently added five new features to its Status feature for iOS and Android users. These new features are aimed at enhancing the user experience of the Status feature on WhatsApp and providing users with more control over how they use it .
The first feature is called “View Once” which allows users to send photos or videos that disappear after they’ve been viewed once. This feature is similar to Snapchat’s disappearing messages.
The second feature is “Mute” which allows users to mute their friends’ status updates so they won’t appear at the top of their Status list.
The third feature is “Archive” which allows users to archive their old status updates. This feature is similar to archiving chats and groups on WhatsApp.
The fourth feature is “Swipe to Reply” which allows users to quickly reply to a friend’s status update by swiping right on it.
Finally, the fifth feature is “Full-Screen Preview” which allows users to preview their friends’ status updates in full-screen mode before deciding whether to view them or not.
In addition to these new features, WhatsApp also allows users to share voice messages on Status, use an audience selector for added privacy, and quickly respond to updates from others with reactions .
WhatsApp users can expect these features to be available on their devices over the coming weeks.
